Goal number one: Bakery Vervet to buy a cinnamon roll. Afterwards, I briefly stopped by the tourist information to get some advice on ferry connections, bus routes, and the surrounding area in general. Matteo was super nice and immediately gave me a second tip for a cinnamon roll, so I stopped at the southern tip of Tromsø at Smørtorget (Butter Market), had a breakfast cappuccino to sort myself out, and took another cinnamon roll with me. After picking up a few small items from shops, I headed to the southern tip, made myself comfortable on a bench, and enjoyed the first cinnamon roll with a magnificent view. Delicious!
Matteo (by the way, a Norwegian citizen for the past 13 years, originally from Italy) highly recommended the botanical garden to me. Since the weather was not very stable, the recommendation came in handy. A small, totally beautiful, colorful (and free) green space, where I spent almost two hours captivated by the fascinating colors and diverse shapes - to taste my second cinnamon roll there. Also very delicious, but the one from Smörtorget was slightly more intense.
Afterwards, I cycled around the island again to explore the northern tip as well.
After cycling 45 km and strolling 10 km, I was really looking forward to dinner, where I had a long and enjoyable conversation with my host, Davey.
