Day 16 - Rødtinden and Håkøy with all kinds of weather

For today, I had chosen a hike to Rødtinden, as the weather was supposed to be good at least in the morning. The 25km journey went by quickly - I somewhat know the routes by now. My hike began in sunshine and in a short t-shirt. I was always walking uphill, and it was worth looking down time and again. I could see the islands of Tromsø and Håkøy. Upon reaching the summit, I even had a clear view into the Ersfjord. Once again, a breathtaking view. I had also picked up a last cardamom bun and enjoyed it on the summit - no sounds (except for the wind), brilliant view, a light breeze, sometimes sun, sometimes clouds.

On the way down, it became overcast and quite windy. I made a detour on my bike to the island of Håkøy - from here, I had a good view of one of the two Tromsø bridges that I had to cross so often. These bridges are something else... I also found a memorial on the island for the Tripitz (battleship in World War II; capsized off Håkøy on 12.11.1944).

Here I could already see the approaching rain clouds. Today, Norway showed itself from (almost) all sides. The rain and wind were surprisingly bearable, yet I was grateful for a hot shower after about 40km. I spent the rest of the day doing this and that. Davey and I chatted for a while. I have a really great host. Unbelievable that tomorrow will already be my last full day in Tromsø.
