Day 2 - Cycling Tour to Skulsfjord

Today was all about sleeping in since the weather was expected to turn bad. When I woke up around 11:30 AM, the sun was surprisingly shining. So, I quickly went outside to assemble my bicycle. It went excellently, and just as I was finishing, a second guest arrived at the Airbnb. What were the odds?: A bike tourer (from Nordkapp to Oslo). We exchanged a few sentences in Norwegian, but then it got too complicated for me. He gave me some tips. Inspired by the weather and our conversations, I decided on a whim to take an approximately 80 km cycling tour to Skulsfjord. There were numerous excellent viewpoints, plenty of reindeer casually strolling on or across the road, small and large streams with spring water, quite a few challenging elevation gains and headwinds, but of course, also the winding, fast downhill rides. I was surprised by a longer stretch over rocks and stones along a hiking path. There was no other option, so I occasionally had to walk a bit. The tour was fun and definitely worth it! I’m already looking forward to the next one…
