Suzhou was just a short stop on our trip to Shanghai. Arriving in the morning by night train, after checking in to our hotel, we set off for the Water City.
There we could admire beautiful streets interspersed with canals, similar to what I had already seen in Nanxun, and visit the small shops.
Immediately afterwards, we continued to the Lingering Gardens, which were typically Chinese in style and well maintained. There were stone gardens, beautiful lotus flowers, and amazing pavilions to admire.
For dinner, we had our meal delivered to our hotel room and got ready for the obligatory karaoke night, which is popular in China.
There are establishments for this pastime in shopping centers and on almost every major street. There, we could enjoy our singing and show off our skills. 🎵🎼😁
