After getting back on the bullet train, we continued to Fuzhou where we then changed to a bus that took us to Wuyshian. Since it was already getting dark when we arrived, the program for the evening was quite short, consisting of a joint dinner and a walk through the 'town'.
The next morning, we made our way to the Wuyi Mountains where we could enjoy a beautiful view, only spoiled by the many tourists. However, the ascent was definitely worth it and on the way down we managed to avoid the crowds by taking a detour. That's when we came across this impressive statue of Confucius.
After the picnic, we were allowed to transport ourselves downstream on bamboo rafts and enjoy the landscape from a completely different perspective.
Since I have been suffering from headaches for a while, I decided to get a massage in the evening. Interesting fact: masseurs and masseuses in China are almost always blind.
Before continuing our journey at 10 o'clock in the morning, we took a morning walk through the town and along the river before it got too hot.
