Me-day in Vienna
Joe unfortunately had to work today, which meant for me: Me-Time. To be honest, I had been looking forward to it all week. A day when I can simply follow myself, without a plan....

The last morning in Vienna began as many good mornings do, with an urgent craving for coffee. So, I quickly went out and got some from Starbucks this time. And because a little extra pampering never hurts, I added eye patches as well. Coffee in one hand, patches under my eyes, this makes a departure day feel much more relaxed.
Unfortunately, by the afternoon, it was already time to leave again. But before that, we followed our little tradition and took some time to write postcards. This is just a part of our routine, no matter how busy the last day is.
And because I wanted to share my find from the previous day with Joe, we made a quick detour to Gerstner K. u. K. before leaving. I wanted to show him this hidden spot on the second floor and the whole imperial ambiance because I was so impressed the first time I visited. And I must say, it worked just as I had hoped; he was immediately taken by it.
After Kaiserschmarrn with potato salad and of course a good coffee, we reluctantly made our way to the airport.
