Refuel in Bern
From time to time I miss Bern, especially everything that is part of it for me: my friends. So I packed my bag and set off. The first stop was at a friend's place, including apple...

I stayed overnight in Bern, and the next day continued exactly as the evening had ended: with a lot of chatting. Plus, a really cozy breakfast with my friends. Just great people and coffee.
After that, I made my way to the Reinhard bakery right at the Bern train station. I've loved this place forever. Reinhard is a family business from Bern that has existed since 1909, with traditional craftsmanship and really good barista coffee. I used to love sitting there with my laptop and a strong coffee, just observing the people rushing in and out at a minute's pace to grab their coffee to go. Me in the middle of it all, completely relaxed.
After this little me-focus interlude, I continued on to a friend who was already waiting for me with her daughter Nila and some tea. And since I had the ambitious plan that day to see all my Bernese friends, I moved on right after. After a short, not-so-voluntary detour to one or another perfume shop (you know how it is), I ended up at the Draft Café.
There, hunger hit me, and I had a somewhat special coffee, namely with pistachio milk. Sounds a bit unusual at first, but it was surprisingly good. Then a friend joined us, and you can guess what happened: Since we hadn't seen each other in ages, the conversation was once again limitless. Mission 'see all friends' successfully completed.
Back in Zurich, it was date night with my boyfriend. The evening started very cosmopolitan, namely with the popular discipline of cruising through Zurich and looking for a parking spot, including a very spontaneous restaurant change. I really wanted to go to Neri Cantina. The Neri Cantina & Cucina in Wipkingen is a modern Italian restaurant with a wine bar, located where the legendary Tre Fratelli used to be, and has just been newly included in the Michelin Guide. Instead of a classic wine menu, there’s a walk-in wine cellar with over 250 wines, from which you can choose your bottle yourself. That's already a little experience on its own.
And then the place completely blew us away. Great service, really cool staff, and food that was out of this world.
