The inflatable lip was the real highlight

Right after waking up, we had coffee first. This really shouldn't be a surprise to anyone...

We had actually planned to go hiking that day and head towards Teide. But before any sporting ambitions could kick in, we obviously first had to go back to the Cinamon Atelier. This time in full convertible mode. So we leisurely drove with the roof down towards breakfast, ate sandwiches, drank coffee, and afterwards strolled around a bit.

The motivation for the hike was still there... until we drove the first kilometers towards Teide.

First, Google Maps showed us a huge red line, and shortly after, we ourselves saw the massive traffic jam.

And really none of us wanted to voluntarily sit in the car for several hours just to possibly find a parking spot near the volcano later. So we did what sensible people do on vacation... changed plans.

We quickly picked up some empanadas and simply drove back towards the Airbnb. And honestly, that was the best decision of the day.

Barely arrived, I disappeared straight to the pool after eating and made the most important discovery ever there. An inflatable air mattress in the shape of lips. 💋 I was instantly obsessed.

After extensive sunbathing, some pointless fooling around in the pool, and very little productivity, we treated ourselves to a big aperitif on our balcony in the evening.

With that view, to be honest, one could probably just sit there in silence for hours.
