Alien landscape ...we just took some random paths

Today we started a new attempt towards the Teide Volcano. As always, of course, not without first organizing some coffee and brunch. This time we just casually ate the remaining empanadas from the day before before getting back into the convertible. This time there was no traffic... so no more excuses... We actually headed towards the hiking trail. The drive there was completely absurdly beautiful. The landscape sometimes truly doesn't look like normal earth anymore. Everywhere volcanic landscapes, bizarre rock formations, and roads that look like they lead straight into some science fiction movie.

However, upon arriving at the hiking trail, the next small problem arose, as all the parking spaces were occupied. Of course, exactly at the trail that we had specially chosen.

A few spots further on, everything was suddenly free, and as so often on this trip, the next plan change came up spontaneously. So we simply chose some random hiking paths and started walking. And honestly, that was probably better that way.

After about two hours, we were back at the car, quite worn out but at the same time completely impressed by this landscape. The Teide National Park really feels a bit like another planet.

Back at the Airbnb, we were completely exhausted at first. So there was a little snack first and then a much-needed shower before we had enough energy for the evening.

Later we went to the El Caletón restaurant, where we leisurely enjoyed the sunset with Aperol Spritz and tacos.
