3rd and 4th Day

We leave our hotel in Forte France after breakfast and drive to our new accommodation in Sainte Anne. It is located 10 minutes from Plage Sainte Anne. We check into the apartment and are very pleased. A large covered terrace and a pool in front provide a bit of luxury. In the afternoon, we go to Plage Sainte Anne. It's Sunday, and there are many people at the beach. We find a good spot and go for a swim. On the way home, we discover a nice little place run by an Austrian woman related to her husband from Martinique. Two cocktails and two crêpes, plus another crêpe for dessert, are quickly prepared for us. Cheerfully, we head back to our apartment. Tonight, we’ll play Skipo.

The next day, we walk to the town of Sainte Anne to shop for our breakfast. Back from town, we have delicious baguette, cheese, muesli, eggs, and coffee.

After breakfast, we drive to Plage des Salines, the southernmost beach in Martinique. Today, it is much quieter at the beach, and we find a shady spot. The water is very nice and warm. After a good meal, we take a stroll to the Observatoire des oiseaux - a bird paradise. Unfortunately, there aren't many birds to see. Two great egrets and a gigantic gray heron make an appearance. The crabs are very busy, and a few small water striders want to be seen as well. As a conclusion, we can photograph the sunset at Plage des Salines. A beautiful day comes to an end, and we return to the apartment, of course, shuffling the cards again.
