Today we get up early and head on foot, without breakfast, to the ferry terminal in Fort de France. Check-in starts at 7:45 AM and departure is scheduled for 9:45 AM. After checking in our luggage and going through security - just like at the airport - we enter the terminal and then the waiting begins. With a delay of about 1.5 hours, the ferry L’Express departs and sails along the island, offering beautiful views of Saint-Pierre and the Mont Pelée volcano. Passengers disembark at the island of Dominica, and new passengers board.
