Puerto Viejo de Talamanca 🦥

We were both very excited about Puerto Viejo because we heard that there is a lot happening here ☺️🎶💃🏼

The long journey was actually totally fine, but by the evening we were just tired and went straight to bed after dinner. 😴

The next day, we rented a scooter and explored the area in both directions, roughly 20 km each way 🛵 Right at the start, we stopped by the roadside because we finally saw a sloth 😍 and then even a baby one! 🥹 In the evening, we went out to party - they really know how to create a vibe 🎶 and even though it was Sunday, there were many locals around too. 💃🏼

Yesterday, we took the bus to Cahuita, where we ventured into the national park on our own 🌿 incredibly beautiful & right by the sea. 🤩 Here too, we saw another sloth, several monkeys, a poisonous snake, and crabs. ☺️ A quick refresh in the sea was definitely on the agenda as well. 👙🩳 In the evening, after walking 20,000 steps, we were so exhausted that we decided to cook and have a drink at our place 🍺

This morning, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast (something we rarely treat ourselves to since we always made our own breakfast because it's super expensive in Costa Rica 😄💸), where we once again saw a sloth right nearby 😍🦥

After that, we were energized and ready to head to Panama 🇵🇦
