Much in and around Fukushima (city)
At a special viewpoint in Fukushima

Next, I traveled to Sendai, the largest city in Tohoku. A historically significant figure in this region is Date Masamune, who belonged to the powerful Date Clan. I reached the castle ruins there on a full tour bus that was touring the city. The weather was very cloudy, but this made the temperatures quite pleasant as well.
After the great view over Sendai, I plunged into the crowds. Along the way, I also stumbled upon a nice festival with food stalls and beer benches. In the city center, there is a network of completely covered shopping streets. You can wander around there for a while and check out the great shops. I also found something nice in a secondhand store.
Sendai was a wonderful city that I hadn't expected to be so enjoyable at first.
