Rare animals and treetop walk in the jungle, last day in Guadeloupe

Last day in Guadeloupe, final day of our island hopping in the Caribbean ☹

Today we visited the Guadeloupe Zoo at a leisurely pace. It's a mix between a small zoo, botanical garden, and a treetop (more like jungle canopy) walkway.

Really beautiful, the suspension bridges are up to 20 m above the ground in some places.

And the nature, well, just look at the pictures, it's simply breathtaking.

Among the animals, we saw the large anteater, which I have never seen before, as well as the red-faced spider monkey. A truly interesting day in the jungle and on high suspension bridges.

Just like the Northern Caiman on the title image, we feel this way too. During the day, it's always around 30 degrees, and at night it never drops below 25 degrees, which is quite exhausting for an average Central European. You can only sleep with the air conditioning running nonstop. By the evening, we feel exhausted every day.

Then we flew with Air Caribbean, and from what I saw, we were one of 400 other passengers heading back to Paris, and from there took the TGV via Stuttgart back home. A long and exhausting day filled with train delays and a bomb threat.
