On my last day in Thailand, not much was on the agenda—shopping and enjoying good food.

After a cozy breakfast at our hotel, Egg rented a scooter for two days, and we initially headed towards Big C (similar to a real supermarket) for shopping. Unfortunately, the haul here was rather minimal, so we also drove to Lotus (also similar to a real supermarket). Here, the yield was a bit more, and the space in our backpacks is limited.

After visiting Lotus, we went to the Khao Rang viewpoint, where we could admire not just the view of Phuket, but also a few monkeys. They were all very peaceful and more focused on food than on people.

After a short break by the pool or at the hotel, we set out for my last night market. This market takes place on Sundays in the streets of Old Town Phuket, and in my opinion, it is quite crowded with tourists. I prefer the rural markets. Smaller, less crowded, fewer tourists.

There was also one last Buddhist temple to visit, which was very beautiful to see and this time had monks conducting a prayer. I hadn’t experienced that before.

For dinner, we chose a restaurant a bit away from the hustle and bustle. Egg had crab meat in yellow curry soup. Very tasty, but a bit too spicy for me. I had squid with salted eggs, which was also delicious.

Then came the tiring part of the day: packing.
I managed to fit everything in and only had 5kg more than at the start of the trip. Many souvenirs and knick-knacks, but it was all worth it.

The night was quite short; the alarm went off at 05:00. By half past six, we were at the airport, and by 09:00, I was already on the first flight back home.

I would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who diligently read along; we reached 6th place in the current ranking of travel blogs on Vakantio. Additionally, a big thank you to Aggi, who took care of my plants and picked me up from the airport.
(We won’t mention that I wanted to go back to the baggage claim right after landing since everyone here is so tense and unfriendly.)

Egg is staying in Thailand a bit longer and is going on a diving tour. Maybe he’ll send some pictures, and I can create another post.
P.S.: Egg did not proofread this entry. So feel free to keep any spelling mistakes. 😏

P.P.S.: Yes, the souvenirs made up half of my luggage.
