One night in Bangkok... or rather three
Anyone who starts here must read until the end! The first night was good, and the jetlag wasn't too bad. So we headed to the “Floating Market” in Bang Nam Phueng just before 10....

On Tuesday, we headed north to Nan.
As expected, we first waited for the bus to the airport. However, it actually arrived on time according to the display (the chance is 50/50 due to traffic conditions for buses arriving as scheduled).
At the airport itself, everything went smoothly, no long lines or similar issues.
After the security check, we quickly grabbed breakfast and drinks before heading to our gate. The waiting time was less than 20 minutes until boarding.
I slept through half of the flight, while Egg did some more research on Nan.
Upon arriving at the airport, sun umbrellas were handed out for the 100 meters from the airport to the terminal, which I gladly accepted.
According to internet research, we should have taken a taxi to our accommodation for 100-120 THB, but we got a Songtheaw (similar to the picture above) for a total of 60 THB - nice entertainment and a little city tour included.
Upon reaching our accommodation, we were first greeted with Thai tea since the room wasn’t ready yet. We made a good catch here; it may not be the most modern, but it is comfortable with a balcony, right by the river, and low traffic or other noises. Just relax, and that’s exactly what we did in the afternoon - nothing.
In the evening, we went to a small cozy restaurant two streets away. The menu was only in Thai, but thanks to some prior knowledge, pictures on Google, and a bit of English, we definitely didn’t starve. We also discovered that our homemade Thai sausages can definitely hold their own against the original.
That was our travel day.
Now we are curious if tomorrow we will visit the first temples. 😉
