Day 1: Weil am Rhein - Frankfurt

Our first travel day began with a small change of plans: Due to construction on the tracks, our original train connection was canceled. Fortunately, my brother spontaneously stepped in and drove us comfortably to Baden-Baden. From there, everything went back to plan – we continued to Frankfurt in comfort on the ICE.

Upon arriving at the airport, we checked into our first hotel, the Hyatt right at Frankfurt Airport – perfectly located and ideal for a stress-free arrival.

After a short breather, we headed straight into the city. At Römerberg, we treated ourselves to a cold beer and soaked in the atmosphere. After that, we went on the water: A relaxing boat ride on the Main offered a wonderful view of the skyline and was just what we needed to wind down.

In the evening, hessian tradition was on the agenda – dinner at Apfelwein Dax, of course, including apple wine. Afterward, we dove into the nightlife: First, a stop at a jazz cellar with a really cozy atmosphere, before we wrapped up the day with a final drink at a bar in Römerberg.

A successful start to the journey!
