Back towards home
After we said goodbye, I spent a few more days in Denmark. I didn't visit Copenhagen, as my system was still too overwhelmed from the previous leg of the journey.
I admired the beautiful chalk cliffs of Mons Klint that rise steeply 200 meters above the sea and create interesting colors in reaction with the saltwater of the Baltic Sea.
Afterwards, I settled down for two nights at a campsite to recharge a bit. Thankfully, the weather was wonderful, and I could gradually regain my strength in the sun and water. In the past few weeks in Sweden, I had rediscovered the element of water for myself. I remembered that as a child, I went swimming at least once a week and loved to move in the water, swim, and dive.
Back in Germany
When I crossed the border back into Germany, I was overwhelmed by a pleasant feeling of security. I first drove to Timmendorfer Strand and then picked a cozy parking spot on a private meadow of a farm.
Northern Germany
Lübeck became one of my favorite cities in Germany. I had no idea how beautiful this little town is, with its red brick buildings and impressive architecture. The Holstentor as a landmark and the beautiful old churches enchanted me.
In the Lüneburg Heath, I went on a long hike with an acquaintance I met through a camper platform (Camp'n'Connect), together with her sweet dog Bella.
Adrenaline
I was in the mood for a bit of action, so the next day I went to Heidepark and slowly worked my way up to the roller coasters. At first, I was really cautious and didn’t dare to ride them. I started small and eventually worked up the courage to ride almost all the roller coasters. It was a really joyful day.
Reunion
After that, I drove to Achim, near Bremen, to visit my acquaintances from the ferry from Hirtshals to Kristiansund. Irene, Horst, and Emil welcomed me warmly and spoiled me with delicious food and a lovely evening. I was allowed to spend the night with Emma on their property.
Making my way
From there, I made my way home a bit faster to visit my family and friends for a few days before heading back to Schweibenalp.
I passed through beautiful little places, mountainous regions, half-timbered houses, spas, and finally did a hike through the Dragon Gorge to the famous Wartburg near Eisenach.
Friends and family
At home, we celebrated Julia's birthday, and I enjoyed some hot summer days at the outdoor pool. The time spent with family was also challenging for me this time. There were some emotional issues that required me to stand up for myself. I still find it incredibly difficult to do, but ultimately I am proud of how I handled things and how they turned out. I believe they brought us closer together in the end.
Resting
I am now looking forward to a 'time out' on Schweibenalp. Time to process the past weeks. Once again, to spend a longer time in one place, to have a regular daily routine again. To see loved ones again, to return to the place that touched my heart so deeply and whose worldview resonates so much with my innermost self. And I am looking forward to the stories that await me.
