What a year!
Reflection and Review

###English Version below###
Oh boy, what a January. I spent most of January in Portugal around Lisbon, Ericeira, Peniche, Bombarral, and Évora until the cold weather drove me down to southern Spain. I watched the surfers in Ericeira at the famous Riberia Beach, jumped naked into the Atlantic Ocean on New Year's Day, visited the famous stone circle in Evora, and spent secluded nights by idyllic Swedish lakes.
Back in the rollercoaster
After the turn of the year, surrounded by people I had grown fond of, the loneliness and the accompanying recurring thoughts and worries that I had said goodbye to so fervently during the Twelve Days of Christmas came rushing back with full force. Self-doubt, financial fears, and the uncertainty of an unknown future kept me trapped in my head and body. However, somehow I felt deep down that something was changing, that my brain was reprogramming itself, and that this was perhaps why it felt so uncomfortable and unpleasant.
But life goes on
In any case, I have already learned so much in January. I have learned to travel even more independently and self-sufficiently. To be more courageous in dealing with being alone in deserted places. To survive, to not always need a hot shower, and to not starve just because I ran out of oats. On top of that, I have rediscovered something wonderful.
A spark
I have noticed that my heart, which had been closed for a long time and needed to heal, has made a little bit of space, created room, and shown me that it is ready to let love in again. Even if now is not the right time, and I still have so much to discover and experience, it is a wonderful feeling to know that a new space has opened up.
Philosophizing about love
I have thought so much about love this month. Questions like, can true love survive everything? When, how, and why can love not be enough? For me, I keep coming back to the conclusion that no, love cannot survive everything and sometimes it is not enough. Not for its own sake, but sometimes love is not meant for two souls to live out their mutual love at the same time in the same location in physical form. That does not mean that this love is not genuine, true, or real.
Personally, I believe that true love transcends time and space. Sometimes life's circumstances make it impossible to embody it. But love doesn’t care whether it is presented in our material world. Just because that is not always possible does not diminish the value of love. It is much more a feeling that exists within us and is alive, not in the other person, not in the physical relationship of two bodies.
And when these two souls find themselves at the right time in the right place, heading in the same direction, it is even more beautiful to awaken and honor them together. Moreover, I believe that we people who have once truly loved will always love. Our hearts have so much space for all the souls that want to connect with us, and just because a physical love comes to an end does not mean that this love was not real or is gone, nor that a new spark, a new place for love can’t flourish in our hearts.
Very philosophical words today, but I love writing such texts and allowing my thoughts and feelings to flow freely. And I will leave it at that for today. Feel hugged, thank you for still being here.
