After a lavish dinner, everyone feels the weight of sleep.
Today we are visiting the museum in Vergina. The displayed exhibits include some from the royal tomb of Philip II, father of Alexander the Great. The coin collection is particularly impressive.
We will not visit the tomb itself, as that would have required an additional 1.5 - 2 km walk. After the 1.5 hours in the museum, the 'tank was already on reserve'.
We continue our journey over Thessaloniki towards Chalkidiki. At the parking lot for the lunch break, a few hungry mouths are once again waiting. At the entrance to the Petralona cave, which is just closing as we arrive, we hope to stay overnight undisturbed.
