Day 11 - Meteor Monasteries

After we had thoroughly fed the female dog described in P4N, we opened the 6kg bag of dog food and left it at her covered shelter.

In the morning, it is 4 degrees. We circle the rocks of the Meteor Monasteries. Impressive what nature and then people have created here. My knee did not allow me to climb the stairs to see one of the monasteries from the inside.

In Kalambaka, we pick up vegetables for ourselves and a 13kg bag of dog food. At the planned overnight spot, a hungry mouth is waiting.

The drive takes us about 50 km uphill through beautiful landscapes until we are back on the E90 towards Thessaloniki. The overnight place is in a small deciduous forest with many small streams and a hungry lady dog.
