Dear art and culture friends,
As you know, I have a great fondness for fantasy stories like The Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones, and many more. Accordingly, I also love the film scores that make these classics such masterpieces.
During my travels, I have already attended a Candlelight Concert with Mario in Vienna, and now I treated myself to another one of these concerts in Hamilton at an old church on a lovely evening. The title was: Dragons & Rings. It was a compilation of the best songs from The Hobbit / The Lord of the Rings and Game of Thrones.
After driving to Hamilton a bit nervously, given that it’s a larger city and I wasn’t 100% sure about the parking situation there (especially since I’m currently driving a sort of spaceship with Fridolin), I was lucky enough to find a spot right at the beginning of the street. Sometimes, it’s the little things that pose a challenge for me and make me step out of my comfort zone completely.

Upon arrival, the last concert had just ended, and the early birds could already see the first flickering through the doors. Then came the entrance and the concert. It was an absolute dream, and the compilation of the pieces and the transitions between them were really superb. I enjoyed every second, and it is just something special to hear these outstanding musical pieces live from a string quartet. Moreover, the ambiance with the large arches and ships of the church was perfectly chosen.

In the end, I found out that the first violin is the father of a good colleague, which was also a nice little surprise.

This is a super little post for an incredibly big moment here in New Zealand.
Your Britta
