The next week is done and this week was mainly about work.
Franzi is diligently cleaning vans while Julian is cutting the flowers.
During our workdays together, we piled firewood as much as we could. Preparations for winter are well underway, and we can feel that autumn is already here with the weather.
An absolutely rainy Thursday meant that Julian had to take an enforced break and make up the hours on Saturday.
Franzi’s work is fortunately independent of the weather, so she can consistently work her hours. We were quite used to a different routine from our time on the kiwi plantations.
Franzi has a really cool international team at work, and most workdays fly by. She is still holding up well on her feet, and Julian is trying to take on some household chores.
On Saturday, Julian also had to work at the restaurant again. This time he was not only washing dishes but also responsible for packing take-away bags. There was quite a bit to do, and the stress level was definitely higher than the monotonous dishwashing. Additionally, he was deployed as a waiter for a private event in the adjacent room. For the first time, he had to carry plates and serve finger food. That was definitely more fun than the dirty plates.
There's really not much more to report; we keep working diligently and are also preparing for our next adventure on the side.
