After breakfast, we had to pack up and wait for the taxi that would take us to Gazalkent. From there, we wanted to take a matryoshka doll to Tashkent. The taxi thing turned out to be a bit difficult, though. The lady at our reception didn't speak any English and the price of the taxi seemed much too high. In the end, we paid a lower price, but it was still too high. But with the matryoshka doll, metro and taxi, we finally got to the hotel quickly and comfortably.
July 19, 2024: The highlight of today was the wine tasting at Uzumfermer. The winery is located about 35 km east of Tashkent. We were able to taste 10 wines, two of which were made from raspberries. As a result, we all agreed that European wines are better and cheaper. Nevertheless, the wines were easy to drink and one or the other would be good for a warm summer evening on the terrace.
In the evening we went to a Lebanese restaurant where there were lots of delicious things and, despite our hesitation in ordering, a little too much. So we took the leftovers with us as a doggy back.
