Aalborg

We have arrived in Aalborg and are staying at Strand Parken Camping. The site is quite centrally located in the city by the shore of the Limfjord, and there is a nice outdoor pool next door, which can be visited for free. The place is nice, relatively quiet, and very well maintained. The staff are as usual friendly and helpful. There are about 150 pitches here, along with a very clean social building. However, the capacity of the building is far too low now in peak season. They only have three toilets with sinks and three showers for women and men each, plus three urinals for men and four family washrooms with toilets, sinks, and showers. Therefore, waiting times are to be expected. But aside from that, it is a beautiful campsite; we pay 50 euros per night, which is fair.

The site is very centrally located, as mentioned, and you can reach the center by bike along a road by the shore of the Limfjord in less than 10 minutes. On the way, you pass by the outdoor pool and then an old shipyard hall, which has been converted into a street food hall. Here you can enjoy snacks from around the world. It is absolutely cozy and worth a visit. You continue past a few small restaurants and quickly arrive in the center. The city with its many alleys, colorful houses, small and large shops, and of course, countless pubs is definitely worth a visit. For that, however, one should also plan enough time!
