Our night without air conditioning, but with a mosquito net in our face and a crowing rooster as an alarm clock was not very restful.😅 Therefore, we had breakfast quite early and set off at 8:30 am. Our vehicle for today: a tandem bike. We had always wanted to try this - so why not here in the Seychelles?🤷🏻♀️ It took us a bit to get used to it, but after that, it was great💪🏻 It was wonderful to be able to talk to each other the whole time without having to shout, and to ride up the steep hills together on one bike.☺️ The first time that Yannick didn’t have to wait for Janike at the top.😅 Our first program point was a 'short' 25-minute hike. At least according to the sign. In reality, it was more of a climbing path over (or under) rocks that took 40 minutes.😆 Our destination was a small beautiful cove that could only be reached this way.⛱️ When we arrived, we knew: The effort was worth it.😍 White sand, crystal blue water, and a small beach bar. We spent the next 5 hours swimming, snorkeling (it was perfect for that there!), reading, drinking coconut water, eating noodles, & relaxing.🤿 When we made our way back, we saw the extent of the mosquitoes that had besieged us yesterday. We had never had so many bites!😱 We spent the time until sunset exploring La Digue with the tandem bike (how can the water look so beautiful everywhere?!) & lingering at another beach.☺️ Before it got dark, we trudged back up the super steep path to our accommodation, which we were thankfully walking for the last time today.🥵 Tomorrow morning, we will take a taxi to the next accommodation on this island.😄
