Here we want to go snorkeling and diving, but of course also relaxing!
It is definitely low season: Many hotels are closed and some are currently undergoing renovations. There are only a few tourists to be seen on the beaches…
To the east of Nungwi, near the small island of Mnemba, there is a huge sandbank with beautiful corals. We will take a boat trip there to snorkel!
Incredible! We can get out of the boat in the middle of the sea and walk through the water…

With snorkeling gear, we quickly get our money's worth: The visibility is ideal and there are many colorful fish here 🤩
Additionally, we are going on several dives with the team from Lulu Dive Shop! This way, we can gain a bit more experience…
The water is a bit murky at depth, but we get to see quite a bit, like a sea snail, many fish, and corals.
We also encounter a triggerfish. It is a bit larger and can get annoyed if we get too close…
On the west coast of Nungwi, there are many beach bars and restaurants.
The fresh coconuts are very, very delicious.
After drinking the coconut water, the coconuts are opened. The fresh coconut flesh is soft and simply delicious 😋
The various fresh juices are fantastic! Mango-Passion is our favorite juice combo 🤩
After our beach stay, we are now returning to the Tanzanian mainland!
