Day 1. The journey to Japan

We were on the road for 17 hours from Frankfurt with a stopover in Hong Kong and a connecting flight to Fukuoka.. Fortunately, a seat next to us remained empty after Frankfurt.. so we were able to spread out and watch movies to our heart's content. Dinner also had a little highlight to offer..
Fukuoka is a cozy city in the south of Japan from where we will slowly travel north over the next 21 days.
After freshening up (the toilets are really something else), we went to eat at OnePott with our guide, who is a really nice Japanese guy, and then took a digesting walk through the city before we collapsed into bed, completely exhausted.
