Warsaw is a huge city, but also beautiful and impressive. It is the largest city in Poland and comparable to Vienna or Budapest.
This city was not on my wish list until now. However, I highly recommend a visit. The variety of magnificent buildings and churches is truly exceptional.
And yet, I do not want to live here! Nor in another large city: the noise, the hustle, the traffic, and the countless tourists. At almost every corner, there is a group being loudly informed by tour guides about the highlights.
On the other hand, there are also cozy spots. There are many parks where one can retreat. Sometimes it only takes a few steps to leave the hustle and bustle behind, while the noise fades away.
My hotel is located in the largest and most famous square in Warsaw, and I was able to sleep very well; there was no noise or traffic to be heard. Perhaps it's different on weekends. I was here from Tuesday to Thursday.
