Route: 40 kilometers, total: 3,864 kilometers | Elevation: 360 meters, total elevation gain: 17,030 meters, distance from home: NULL kilometers (as the crow flies)

Exactly today, 7 weeks ago, my great journey began. During this time, I have traveled alone with my eBike almost 4,000 kilometers and also over a thousand by ferry from Travemünde to Helsinki. Today marks exactly 50 travel days, during which I have experienced a lot. All these experiences now have the opportunity to settle down and be organized. How long will it take for me to feel at home in my daily life again?

I spent my last night of the Baltic tour in a house from the 17th century. I slept very well and for a long time. It has never happened that I got up at 7 o'clock. From a weather perspective, it was also good today since it was still raining. When I set off at 08:40, it was dry. And it remained so for a long time.

Since I only planned a short stage, I extended it a bit so that I wouldn't arrive too early in St. Gallen. Therefore, I rode as close as possible along the lake, on the Lake Constance cycle path.

Just when I was taking a picture of a Czech plane at Altenrhein Airport, it started to rain. Just a few meters away, I found an ideal shelter. The rain quickly became very heavy and there was even a hail shower. But just as quickly as it came, it was gone again, and I could continue riding.

As St. Gallen is significantly higher than Lake Constance, I had to climb some elevation meters. It was so steep that I preferred to walk a few hundred meters using the push assistance of the eBike. After that, I continued uphill parallel to the motorway, although not nearly as steep anymore.

Komoot chose a nice route for me; one might also say that the people in St. Gallen are very bike-friendly. Part of the route also passed through the beautiful old town and ended directly at the train station, my destination for today's bike tour. From there, I wanted to take the train to Sursee to return home today.

Barely arriving at the train station, it started to rain heavily again. Another perfect timing!

I had enough time to prepare for the trip with the Voralpenexpress. In particular, I wanted to buy something for the journey, which I was able to do easily at the Coop inside the train station.

At 12:05, my train departed on time, and I was very excited about this journey. Particularly, I didn't mind whether it rained or hailed.

I highly recommend taking a trip on the Voralpenexpress. The route is phenomenal and there is much to discover. In Lucerne, I had to transfer, which was perfectly timed. From Sursee, there were a few cycling kilometers left until I reached home, where I was warmly welcomed by Brigitte with some surprises.

I sincerely thank everyone who has accompanied me through this blog and has motivated me time and again.

This will certainly not be the last entry. I want to make a summary and highlight some experiences in particular.

**Español:**

Hoy, exactamente hace 7 semanas, comenzó mi gran viaje.
