After a night in a cabin on the ferry and a subsequent two-hour crossing, we arrived in Una Una today around 09:00.
The center of the island is formed by a volcano that brings hot thermal freshwater to the surface. This water then runs down the slopes in warm streams and flows into massive coral gardens. (The volcano tour follows tomorrow)
Today, we completed two incredibly beautiful dives. The first was in the 'black forest', a site where ancient corals have formed into shapes resembling a coniferous forest. It felt like floating through a colorful fairy tale forest. Inexpressible.
The second dive took us to a rock surrounded by corals, which housed a remarkable density of various creatures. We even saw a reef shark parked under a coral.
Unfortunately, I can't upload pictures from our underwater camera since the transfer to the phone isn't working. However, there will be a travel photo presentation for interested parties after our return, to which we will invite everyone.
