Yesterday we stayed at a beach bar for another day. People were cool, for 5 euros we could use the beach showers and toilets. Nice neighbors, everything was good. But today we moved on, I wanted to visit the old town of Kotor. It is the only UNESCO cultural heritage site in Montenegro and is considered the most beautiful in the country.
Countless peoples have left their mark on this picturesque town tucked away in the bay. The spectacular natural surroundings contribute to the popularity of Kotor.
It is completely car-free. The historic houses have all been reconstructed with original building materials. The paths are all paved, the alleys are narrow, and there are churches, restaurants, and several souvenir shops scattered throughout.
Although I hate large crowds, it was worth it.
I try to ignore them. I am better at that when I am alone.
Today we are staying at an old fort overlooking the Bay of Kotor. Burki has already made friends with the dog next to us. Otherwise, there are a few teenagers enjoying the sunset.
