Tag 42 Aoos Lake-Pindos-Zagoria

This morning we continue driving only on small roads to the Pindos Mountains. Zagoria is the region with the quiet mountain villages and rock formations that resemble pancakes. It seems like time has stood still here. The characteristic old stone houses with paved alleys where you can stroll. The Vikos Gorge and countless opportunities to explore this area on foot. If you like it a bit quieter and more natural, this is the right place for you. Everything seems so idyllic. There wasn't much going on, so the drive was pleasant. However, it took us about 5 hours with breaks for 85km. But hey, we have time. Thank you for that. We found a nice parking space at about 1500m. Except for 2 dogs who paid us a visit, there was no soul around. In the distance, you can still hear a shepherd yelling.
