The big laundry day is coming up, and first I dump the bag of laundry out and sort out the dark clothes, taking all the towels off the hooks, the bath mat, and the bed linens, making 2 full laundry bags. We find out one bag contained 7.3 Kg of laundry and the other 10.6 Kg... it was worth it. We had to pay 45 euros for washing, drying, and roughly folding... okay since I didn’t have to stand stupidly in the laundromat for such a long time. We dropped off the laundry at 11:30 AM in Malia on the main street (Laundry Limpo) and could pick it up again at 7:00 PM. The laundry smelled gentle and pleasant and everything was clean... all socks were there and nothing was missing... I think. Quickly spreading everything into the cabinets and then the evening can begin... so once again total stress...
In between the rain breaks during the day, we take a little walk towards the city center... oh damn.. it’s farther than we thought. But one doesn’t have to go any further and can turn back at any time. All shops, supermarkets, and restaurants are closed... yeah, why should they be open... there are no people here. We walk back to the vehicle and arrive just in time before the shower hits and we can escape into our Rex.

Since Freddy is not feeling well today, we decide to stay one more night.
We recharge our batteries in the sun and chat with a Dutchman who lives in Crete and is super happy. He gave us some tips about where there's a good water source (sadly not in use at the moment) and where there's a great bay. We decide to drive further and get some water.
So let's get the vehicle ready and off we go... we are leaving a wonderful place. Near a monastery, there should be a water source that is also used to fill the Samaria mineral water... it tastes really good because I had bought it already carbonated in the store. So off we go. Once there, we do see the source, but unfortunately, there’s no way to tap water there... somewhere in the back of the parking lot, there should also be a source connection... but we couldn’t find it... such a pity. We drive back a part of the way to reach the bay in Sissi. A really interesting route and sometimes quite narrow. On a left turn between 2 houses, Freddy checked the road beforehand because there's nothing worse than driving into somewhere and getting stuck... nobody needs that.
We reach a great bay and can park next to another RV. We are good campers and ask if it's okay for them if we park there. We adjust our spot a bit and move back a little so we don't block the view of the sea. Everything's fine and we can start the evening relaxed. The fascination of this bay only comes to me the next day... the sun makes it look idyllic and super beautiful... an idyll... but more about that tomorrow...

Today we are having a relaxed day. Recharging batteries and then heading to the beach with the camping chairs to enjoy the sun... wonderful... this is how you can winter.
We will check out the city the next day because we will stay here for another night. We chat with a nice couple from Berlin who are traveling in an Elnagh RV and enjoying life in the camper. They sold everything and live in the RV... respect. We get tips for campsites, that the internet card from Germanos (Telekom) is better than Vodafone (7 days 6.50 euros) and can be extended via mobile... easier, cheaper, better internet and fairer since it can be booked weekly. Great. 17 km further in town, there is a Germanos store and we will buy a card there... even if we then briefly pay everything double and triple... doesn’t matter since we are heading south into Crete where the shops are scattered so numerous.
Freddy grabs the fishing rod and tries his luck... but even the local fisherman has no luck... somehow not much is happening in the water here. Freddy noticed this when he sent the copter into the sky. Crystal clear water... but no fish in sight... whatever... dinner – chili con carne – was already planned.
How the Berliner from the YouTube channel Lass Loofen says... we spent the day chilling.
I cooked the chili, and Freddy was working on our new intro on YouTube.... Final result: really awesome and without any AI song. An AI song would NOT be an option because it’s terrible and almost every YouTuber has it by now... we don’t.
The chili is really delicious and is thick enough for the next day... super since our supplies are slowly running low...
Watching a bit of YouTube and at 8:30 PM, Astrid from the YouTube channel “Thoughts and Conversations from the Van” holds a regulars' table of the Freiburg RV group and we take part this time.... After initial problems (Skype and laptop didn’t work), we managed to log in via mobile and chitchat. It was really fun and it was nice to see the people again...
We conclude the evening again with the Paramount series 1923... really a great series...
