Hey everyone

Wow, what a day.... But with a happy ending! :)

So, in the morning we got up, packed everything, and since there was no reception there, we left the key in the room. But, it turned out to be more difficult than expected. Because: the main gate was locked and couldn't be opened from the inside.... There was a panel where you had to enter a code... Kevin solved a couple of locks and we were actually able to get out! Fantastic! Because we were really running late by then.

At the airport, we wanted to check in right away, but the lady at the counter wanted to see our return flight from Thailand! Of course, we didn't have one! We were given a 5-minute window to book a flight out of the country. We did that and booked the first one to Laos. Then everything worked out and we were able to check in and finally board. At this point, I was really panicking that everything wouldn't work out.... Because: Mom had a flight to Bangkok, where we were going to meet and spend some vacation time together. Yesterday we watched the live broadcast of the Federal Council's press conference - but luckily she was already on the plane. Nowadays, nothing is as easy as usual.

When we landed in Bangkok, we had to undergo a health check. Meaning: fill out a form that we have no symptoms - and that was it.

Then they initially didn't want to let us out of the airport because we had a connecting flight to Phuket. I explained to the officer that we need to leave the airport! No matter the consequences! After a few more minutes of pleading, we were actually allowed to leave! Mom had landed an hour earlier, but at a different airport. She had to take a taxi to us and that ride also took almost an hour. After a few more minutes of wandering around, we actually found each other! We could hardly believe that we actually met in the middle of Bangkok airport, despite everything that's going on!

We went outside for a moment to catch our breath and then got back on the next plane.

After another 1.5 hours, we finally landed in Phuket. From there, everything was very easy! We ordered a 'Grab' and went to a bar that was on the way to the hotel and that we already knew from last month :)

There were a few drinks and then there it was, the vacation mood! All the tension was suddenly gone and we simply enjoyed sitting together at the other end of the world with a great view.

Later we went on to the hotel - another 20 minutes drive.

The hotel is amazing!!! We have a room for three, with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a terrace, and a shared living area with a kitchen.

Really great!

Later, we will have dinner at our hotel and believe us - we are really looking forward to biting into something delicious again :)

So, we're calling it a day for today and will be back tomorrow!

Until theeeeeeeeeen :))

Keine Ahnung....
