While I am still half-asleep in bed, Jonna, Lucy, and Ian are already sitting on the terrace and calling the number written on our blue note - It is not assigned. That would have been very suspicious if someone could actually have helped us.
Out of sheer bewilderment, we make our way to the tourist police, hoping that they can give us some tips. The two gentlemen we meet there speak just as poorly English as everyone else, but they are helpful - even though the help is limited to telling us to come to the police station again in the morning.
On the way back to the accommodation, we pick up our laundry and extend our scooter rental for another three days. Back at home, we have breakfast first and then take care of some planning.
Since we have arranged to go surfing with Ian and Lucy today, the four of us head to the beach in the afternoon, squeeze into the surf shirts, and get started. Lucy and Ian, as expected, make us look absolutely amateur, and Jonna and I spend almost half the time watching them.
For me, it's the end of work after 90 minutes, as my right ribs start to hurt; Jonna, on the other hand, takes full advantage of the time. Since it has now become a ritual, we order another coconut and then make our way back after a while.
Today, we want to try something different in terms of cuisine, so we march blindly through the streets and look for something to eat. We stop at a small snack bar that offers dozens of different fried foods - we choose about six different variations, without knowing what's in them, and end up with cabbage, sausage, and chocolate, among other things. Unfortunately, we also poured mayonnaise over the fried chocolate, which somewhat affected the taste experience. Since the portion was not even close to being satisfying, we order fried rice and noodles and chop suey at a warung. Instead of chop suey, we get a clear soup, which is also delicious. We pay just under 2.50€ for everything and are satisfied (7/10).
On the way back, we give the fried chocolate a REAL chance (without mayo) and take the dessert home.
