We will be staying at Guesthouse Lotus in Sudaji in the Sekumpul region for 3 nights. Due to bad weather, we are taking advantage of our room and the facility today. The owner spent several years in Germany and built her property and guesthouse with her German husband. You can see this directly in the construction, which is solid and built to last. Normally, houses in Indonesia are built with the entrance facing the street, welcoming all people with open arms. These owners have built their entrance at the back, with a dreamy view of the rice fields and mountains. With the same view, we enjoyed an infinity pool and a small restaurant that even offered bratwurst and schnitzel.

Today, the weather is beautiful again and we are going on a waterfall discovery tour. We ride the scooter for a while and pass various entrance booths for the waterfalls. However, we want to get as close as possible and end up in the village of Lemukih. From there, we took a guide, rode a little further on the scooter, and then continued on foot. Early in the morning, we encountered only a handful of tourists and were able to enjoy the Grombong and Fiji waterfalls almost to ourselves. These have been the most beautiful waterfalls we have discovered so far in Bali. A great, very green nature and it is impressive how the water plunges into the depths here. After a thorough visit, we returned to the parking lot. In total, we had to climb 519 steps. Phew, we were glad when we had done it. On the way back, we passed a swing. Not just any swing. A quite high one with a view over the rice terraces. It had to be tried out.
