Hello everyone
Yes, we didn't sleep much last night either and were accordingly tired during the day.
Around midnight, we read the news that Switzerland is calling all its citizens in Thailand back home. Until 4 am, we discussed, weighed the pros and cons, but we couldn't convince ourselves... What do we want in Switzerland? Everything there costs 10 times as much and we would still be trapped.... We decided to sleep on the situation for one night and when we woke up at 9 am, the discussion continued. Can one be punished for foolishness and stupidity? We were seriously considering returning against our will... But first, we wanted to contact the embassy and hoped for some advice. We did that and explained our situation. The gentleman on the phone told us that we were not forced to return and that we had to decide for ourselves what we wanted to do. The whole conversation and his calm manner calmed us down immensely! Now our decision is final: we're staying.
Right next door, we have a few nice little houses in view that we will book for a month. The situation here is currently that a few restaurants are still open and you are not allowed to be on the streets after 8 pm. In addition, our beach is full of other travelers who are all enjoying their stay here completely relaxed. Now we just hope that everything will calm down a bit before our visa expires, or that we can extend it. But we feel 100% safe here and the locals are friendly as you would expect in Thailand.
Accordingly, our day was spent discussing, calling the embassy, and looking for a new accommodation.
However, in the late afternoon, we still couldn't resist jumping into the sea and having some fun. There was a tiny little fish there that always came to us, let itself be caught and swam back again :).
A strange fish, but really cute :).
I even tried to cook fried rice with egg and chicken.... Well... My cooking skills don't really speak for me - fortunately Kevin is so easy-going :D.
In the evening, we went shopping quickly and now we are sitting obediently in our accommodation. Oh people, you can't imagine how relieved we were after the phone call with the embassy...
Today we will definitely finally sleep well again :).
Now we are enjoying the rest of the evening and the fact that we are allowed to be here and we will check in again tomorrow ;).
Until then!!!
