Hey everyone
Today was a really nice day!
Last night we found out that a state of emergency has been declared in Thailand as well. That gave us another sleepless night with a lot of worry. But we decided not to deviate from our plan and stay here. This morning we received the news that there will be no curfew. Yesss! So we can still enjoy the time by the sea and go shopping in the evening to cook something small. Amazing thing with these accommodations! Basically, we only rely on open grocery stores.
In the morning we lazed around a bit, had breakfast, and set off for the beach at 1 pm. There we took the canoe and paddled to a tiny, very cute island. It was much further away than we thought and paddling was much more exhausting than expected :).
But we reached the goal! It was wonderful! No one else, just the two of us on a beautiful sandy beach. After a while, we found a neglected sign on the ground, which stated that the island is currently closed to recover. Since we were there illegally, we briefly walked along the beach and collected all the plastic waste. Once again with a clear conscience, we lay in the sand and enjoyed having the whole island to ourselves :).
When the tide slowly came in and our canoe suddenly lay in the middle of the sand, we decided to paddle back. There is another island right next door, you can see it in the pictures. It's much bigger, but it has a lovely beach and a lot of jungle - that will be our next destination :).
Back at our beach, we treated ourselves to a swim in the sea (the water is sooooo warm!!!) and later returned to our accommodation.
Quick shower, then shopping, and now we're sitting comfortably in our open living room again. Later we'll cook something and let the evening fade away.
Dear ones, we'll be in touch again tomorrow, stay strong.
See you later!
