Wednesday: travel day, Thursday in Ceriale
Wednesday was travel day. The journey was a relatively short 2.5 hours along the coast from France in to Italy. We did catch a glimpse of Monaco down on the coast, but otherwise...

Saturday was all about the dogs. Fairly early (for us), we were up and out to the Ceriale (free) dog beach. It turned out to be a very tatty, flotsam filled rocky excuse for a beach. So we then tried Pippo, a paid dog beach, and OMG what a treat. It was €35 for the day, which includes a treat bag for the dogs and a sunbed for us all, dogs included. There was a bar and a restaurant and sand. We spent most of the day there until 5ish when the wind started to pick up and the temperature started to drop. We got told off (very gently) twice; once for not leashing the dogs with their leases to the clips on the umbrella base, once for letting Winnie chase the ball on the sand off her lead. The rules are that all dogs need to be restrained at all times. Fair enough as there were a lot of dogs, and a little barking now and then though generally the mood was peaceful with lots of coochie cooing.
What a lovely chill day we all had.
