A moment of reflection
I’m sitting in the early morning sun with my first cup of tea, reflecting on our journey so far, as we are about half way through our trip. We have said to ourselves many times...

Today was a lazy day, a really lazy day. We had a cup of tea waiting for the washing to finish, then went for a walk with the dogs down the beach. It was hot. We strolled first through the trees that edge the beach, which are much cooler, before going down to the water’s edge where it was deliciously hot.
We then came back and I’m not really sure what we did, but it involved quite a lot of nothing. Which is, if you didn’t know, one of my favourite things to do.
After lunch I put up the hammock (thanks Laura) for the first time, neatly hanging between two perfectly placed trees, and did a bit more nothing. After a failed attempt to get the FA Cup on the iPad, I resigned myself to watching the score only. One nil to Man City was not the score I was hoping for, sorry to Papa, Harv, Alex and Oli for your team coming second.
We took another walk down the beach, and returned to camp, via a bar, for dinner and for Jane to give me another lesson in Rummy. I’m doing better than Thailand and our summer holiday last year, but am still down on this trip.
Sunday tomorrow, so a day of rest is planned. The pace is exhausting 😁.
