Our first site on Sardinia was lovely, if a bit big - we had to wear wrist bands 😁 - but situated on the north coast it gets all the wind. These were up to 29mph on Saturday, so we used ChatGPT to find the least windy parts of Sardinia, found a campsite in one of those zones and drove. It was a 2.5 hour drive, partly because Sardinia is a big island, and partly because the roads were slow.
We are now setup on our site, on the south east coast, pretty warm and with little breeze. We have taken a stroll down to the beach and are currently having dinner at a restaurant by the sea. We started the day on a downer that the wind would impact our fun, and ended the day on a high. There is very little wind, some sun and the site is small and rustic. What that means is a good vibe but primitive showers. These in particular are coin operated, for the hot showers but free for the cold. Money cannot buy you happiness but it can buy you a warm shower.
