The night is gone from 5 o'clock 😟
We are awaken by the sounds of 🕌 mosques. 92% of Indonesians are Muslim. It's quite curious that today we will admire the original belief (Hinduism) which is now only widespread on Bali, in "Yogja".
With pancakes & a black tea 🥞 in our stomachs, we head towards Prambanan temple complex in the northeast of the city of Yogyakarta.
For the Hindu belief, Prambanan is one of the most important temples in Southeast Asia. As a UNESCO World Heritage site, it especially attracts foreign tourists who of course have to pay 5 times the price of locals. (locals 75,000RP - tourists 350,000RP)
After the sightseeing tour, we explore the city with local public transportation 🚌.
We also make another attempt at trying local food - let's see what we can report about it tomorrow. As a precaution, we have also stocked up on some medication for the known issues. We will see...
