Hi everyone!
Today was not so bad, and sometimes even really good :).
We were woken up every few hours during the night to measure Kevin's blood pressure and temperature, but that's a good thing. He's gotten used to regular tests being done and I'm very happy to see how seriously they take their job here.
At 5:45 am, his blood was taken again. The count is now at 22. It's still too low, but at least everything is slowly moving in the right direction.
After breakfast, we were even allowed outside for a short time! Only once a day and I have to push Kevin around in a wheelchair, but it was visibly good for him! He really came to life out there! When we got back to the room, lunch was served and for the first time in a very long time, he was able to eat properly.
Later on, he had really strong nosebleeds. That's normal since his wound healing is still non-existent. We couldn't stop the bleeding until the doctor came to help. She applied a pressure bandage in his nose, which was very uncomfortable. But at least the bleeding stopped. He has to keep it in for one to two days.
But overall, we're very optimistic and believe that everything will turn out well.
We'll just hang out in the room and watch some TV for the rest of the evening :).
So, until tomorrow!
