Good morning everyone!
Today we wanted to get more active than the previous days. Jennifer and Jeremy recommended hiking the Deep Creek Trail, which is only a few kilometers away from Bryson City.
We started after breakfast. We decided to take the full loop, which is about 8 kilometers long, based on a signboard. We encountered some horse riders along the way. We hiked up several hundred meters in elevation along different waterfalls. Stefan was especially relieved when we started descending again. By the way, we saw many trout in the Deep Creek. Overall, it was a beautiful hike with wonderful weather. After a little over three hours, we finally returned to the parking lot.
We took the short way back to Bryson City, where ice cream and beer were waiting for us. Unfortunately, we didn't get into conversation with anyone this time, so we left the Rooftop Bar of the Mountain Layers Brewing Company after just one hour.
It was still light out when we returned to our cabin. The rest of the day was spent in the tub and by the campfire. Since we had to get up very early the next morning due to the train ride, we went to bed relatively early today.
