Puseh Batuan or also no tourist place

Pubblicato: 06.07.2019

From Puseh Batuan Temple, through the Monkey Forest, to the art market in Ubud, then drank expensive cat-shitting coffee, to the rice terraces, lunch at the volcano, and purification temple at the end ♥ The air today was a mixture of exhaust fumes, incense sticks, food, and chicken :)

All in one go, our day trip. First, here is the Puseh Batuan Temple.

In the temple, we were explained that the demons live in front of the temple, humans in the temple, and the 'stone' opposite the entrance is dedicated to the gods, or also a phallic symbol, as all celestial gods are male and the sea and their goddesses are female. My short question about gender equality led to a monologue that in real life, everyone is equal and women even earn more (I have to research that first) and traditionally, everyone knows their role. The man has to cook because only he is strong enough to slaughter (but not a sick, sad, or weak animal). The women are in charge of things that require patience, like making 'flower arrangements' or raising children.

Before the entrance, the area of the demon becomes part of the human. Life consists of birth, life, joy, pain, death in harmony with nature.

The 'phallus' (picture 1) was decorated because the temple had its birthday on Saturday, and the yellow 'antennas' are the antennas of the gods, to make contact with humans.

Black and white checkered is the perfection for them in the interplay of colors and also between demons and gods. Gold and red are the minimum colors for homage... but the best is everything colorful, then the spirit is colorful and life is beautiful.

This temple was recommended to us as a temple that you don't have to share with 1000 tourists. It offers so many great photo opportunities, and we can have a direct dialogue with those preparing for the festival.

Why do you destroy the coconuts? The coconuts are not young and have too much soda inside. This is incompatible for starting the day.

I love conversations like this.

So many new impressions for the three of us :) We are excited for many many impressions #Bali
