New scientific findings show that the seasons are reversed on the northern and southern hemispheres of this earth! It dawned on us that we should go to Patagonia tomorrow, otherwise we might not be able to go there at all. Fortunately, our employers saw it the same way and recommended that we don't go too short because it's so beautiful there!
According to old non-scientific conspiracy theories, Hitler staged his suicide in Berlin and spent his later years in Bariloche with other ex-Nazis. Although there is probably nothing true about the story except for the German roots of the city, we thought that must be a pretty beautiful place if they all fled there ;)
Back to the topic: Borrowed some warm clothes, and before we knew it, we were on a plane to Bariloche in northern Patagonia, drinking canned beer by the lake at sunset.
Bariloche is known for its outdoor activities, hiking, a magnificent lake landscape, and last but not least, an uncountable number of microbreweries and their numerous and unknown craft beer selections!
....Discovered hidden lakes...
... Enjoyed well-deserved breaks in the most beautifully located brewery and a true happy place...
... Climbed mountains, braving winds and cold...
... Gained new strength through lovingly hot chocolates (optionally with cognac, as recommended by the host)...
... Explored the surrounding landscape in a rental car (not without preparing for the upcoming festival in Asunción with Imagine Dragons and The Killers, and diligently learning song lyrics)...
...
And the best part is, that was only part 1 of the trip! We're headed to the Iguazú Falls after a night stopover in Buenos Aires!
