A trip to Cape of Good Hope

Today we were earlier than yesterday and are already off to have breakfast at Bayside. Ray, our landlord, also came to the restaurant briefly to drop off some files because he wanted to work on them (at home, besides his wife Sanchia, her sister and mother-in-law also live).

After breakfast (today inside due to the weather), we headed towards Simons Town and then further to Cape of Good Hope. It rained a little on the way and we were worried. But we were greeted with dry weather and a little sunshine at the cape.

The short hike up to the lighthouse was beautiful and we enjoyed the view at the different viewpoints.

On our way back, we stopped for some white flowers so Helena could take photos. In Simons Town, we made a short stop and checked out the accessible part of the harbor. Unfortunately, it was not possible to enter the SA Navy harbor.

We continued to Noordhoek, where we wanted to eat at the Cape Point Vinery, but unfortunately, the entire property was not accessible due to a private party for others - a pity.

Back to our accommodation, where Helena took the time to prepare our luggage for the return journey on Thursday evening.

Today we will go to Dixie's again to conclude our South Africa vacation.
