On Monday, I was allowed to assemble the basic structure for a pitched roof PV system. This involves mounting the brackets, but the concrete tiles must be removed and replaced with metal tiles. In the morning, it was still quite slippery on the roof, and I was glad that the first mounted brackets provided a secure foothold for further assembly work. In the afternoon, the vertical rails were then mounted, and on them, of course perfectly aligned, the horizontal rails for the installation of the solar modules were attached. My legs and feet are not used to moving around on such a roof all day; that was probably the toughest part of this Monday.
