On the highest mountain outside the Himalayas... Well, almost.

The 'Aconcagua', called 'Guardian of Stone' in the indigenous language, is the highest mountain on Earth at 6962m if you don't count the Himalayas. Every year, about 4000 motivated people try to reach the summit, making it a popular destination for mountaineers. This takes at least 7 days and should not be underestimated, as only 20% of those who attempt it actually succeed...

Although we only attempted a day trip to the base camp at an altitude of 3400m, we were still impressed by the atmosphere and the incredible landscape.
